Care and Washing for Your PsLing
Regular, gentle care can help preserve the fabric and colour. Always read the sewn-in care label first: instructions may differ by material, dye, decoration, or production period.
Before Washing
Check the Label and the Sling
- Follow the sewn-in care label if it differs from this general guide.
- Inspect the fabric, stitching, shoulder, and rings before washing.
- Do not use the sling if damage could affect support; contact PsLing for guidance.
- Treat stains promptly, but test any product on an inconspicuous area first.
Machine Wash
If the Care Label Permits Machine Washing
Wash the sling separately in a protective laundry bag, using a mild neutral detergent, water no warmer than 30°C, and the gentlest suitable cycle. Keep the rings fully wrapped inside the fabric and bag to reduce impact on the rings and machine.
Lift and gather the ring end.
Position the rings inside the fabric.
Wrap the fabric around the rings.
Loosely roll the remaining fabric around them.
Place the wrapped sling in a laundry bag.
Close the bag securely before washing.
Hand Wash
Gentle Hand Washing
If the label permits washing, use cool or lukewarm water no warmer than 30°C and a small amount of mild neutral detergent. Do not soak for an extended period, scrub aggressively, twist, or wring.
Dilute a small amount of mild neutral detergent in water.
Place the sling into the water without leaving it to soak.
Gently work on visible soil without harsh rubbing.
Press the fabric gently through the water.
Handle the fabric lightly; do not scrub or twist it.
Rinse thoroughly until no detergent remains.
Drying
Remove Water Gently and Dry in Shade
Remove excess water
Press the sling gently in a clean towel. Do not twist or wring it. Use a machine spin only if the care label permits it and the rings remain protected.
Air dry in shade
Reshape the sling and dry it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry unless the sewn-in care label explicitly permits it.
