Craftsmanship
Made in Japan
A PsLing is more than an everyday carrying tool.
Weaving, dyeing, metalwork and sewing come together through Japanese craftsmanship to shape every piece.

Japanese craftsmanship
comes together in every piece.

Weaving
Weaving | Hand-finished textiles from Shiga
The soft, airy character of the cloth is shaped by careful hand-working and drying.
Drawing on the textile traditions of Omi in Shiga Prefecture, the fabric is worked by hand to bring out its natural texture, then air-dried. The process gives the cloth its distinctive softness, volume and gentle surface.

Dyeing | Colour shaped by a Kyoto artisan
Each piece carries subtle shifts of colour that belong to hand dyeing.
A Kyoto Yuzen artisan builds colour onto the cloth with a brush. Layer by layer, the process creates depth and a soft gradation that cannot be reproduced by a flat print. Gentle variations in tone are part of the character of each hand-dyed piece.

Metalwork
Metalwork | PsLing rings made in Niigata
The rings at the heart of a PsLing depend on precise metalwork and careful finishing.
Made in Niigata, the rings are shaped and polished to achieve a smooth surface and a clean lustre. Their manufacture and strength testing form part of PsLing’s quality-control process, balancing everyday function with a refined finish.

Atelier | Individually made in Tokyo
Each piece is cut and sewn individually by experienced hands in Tokyo.
At the PsLing atelier, the construction is adjusted to the fabric and design rather than treated as a uniform mass-production step. This close attention to material, stitching and finish is part of what gives every piece its individual character. Available products and service options vary by destination.

Craftsmanship lives in the details you may never see.
For PsLing, craftsmanship is an ongoing effort to bring beauty and considered function into family life. We will continue to share the value of Japanese handwork with the world.
