Wearing and Safety
Can I use a PsLing with a newborn?
Confirm the instructions for the exact PsLing product before use. Correct use and continuous safety checks are essential: keep the baby’s entire face visible, keep the nose and mouth clear, prevent the chin from being pressed onto the chest, and support the neck and back. Consult a doctor before use for a premature or low-birth-weight baby, a baby with respiratory symptoms, or whenever you are uncertain.
When can I use the upright carry?
The current PsLing wearing guide reserves upright carry for the stage after the baby has developed full head control. Follow the complete sequence and recheck the face, airway, neck, back, hips, pouch depth, rings, and fabric throughout use.
Can I feed my baby while using the sling?
Follow the feeding section of the current PsLing wearing guide and remain attentive throughout. Keep the entire face visible, make sure neither fabric nor the wearer’s body covers the nose or mouth, and return the baby to a secure carrying position immediately after feeding. A sling is not a hands-free feeding device.
How do I tighten or adjust the sling?
Prepare and remove slack before loading the sling. The PsLing rings are designed to lock under load, so never force the tail while the sling supports the baby’s full weight. Any permitted fine adjustment requires fully supporting the baby, removing the load from the rings, and moving only the relevant fabric a little at a time.
Does correct wearing eliminate the risk of a fall or breathing problem?
No baby carrier is risk-free. Correct preparation, continuous support during loading and unloading, and frequent checks reduce avoidable hazards but do not remove the need for attention. Stop and reposition immediately if the face is obstructed, breathing seems unusual, the baby slumps, fabric or rings shift, or you lose balance.

Care and Product
Can I wash my PsLing at home?
Read the sewn-in care label first because instructions vary by material, dye, decoration, and production period. If washing is permitted, use the product-specific method. The general guide explains gentle hand washing and protected machine washing, but the care label takes priority.
When should I stop using or replace a sling?
Do not rely on age alone. Inspect the fabric, seams, shoulder construction, and rings before each use. Stop using the sling if you find thinning, tears, loose or broken stitching, deformation, cracks, sharp edges, or any other change that could affect support. Contact PsLing if you are unsure.
Why do some older slings have a PSNY or Yashiuma & Company label?
PsLing labels have changed over time and by sales route. Historical examples include PSNY and Yashiuma & Company labels. A label alone is not enough to confirm current condition or suitability, so inspect any older or second-hand sling carefully and contact us with clear photographs if identification is needed.
Is a remake service available for an older PsLing?
A remake enquiry may be possible, but acceptance, reusable components, price, destination, and shipping arrangements must be assessed individually. Do not cut off rings or alter the sling before receiving instructions.

Choosing and Availability
How do I choose the shoulder and length?
Tell us the main wearer’s height and general build, the shoulder normally used for a shoulder bag, and whether another adult will share the sling. Available shoulder and length configurations vary by product, so confirm the options before ordering.
Are all series and custom options available internationally?
No. Product availability, customization, payment methods, and delivery destinations vary. Tell us your country or region and the product or option you are considering so current support can be confirmed before ordering.
Can PsLing baby slings be ordered or shipped to the United States through this site?
PsLing baby slings are not currently offered for sale or shipment to the United States through this site. For the US and New York history of PsLing or remake enquiries, contact us so we can direct the enquiry appropriately.
